Topic 01
Getting started with LoLo
The essentials for families exploring flexible support at home.
What is LoLo?
LoLo is a care marketplace and coordination platform for non-medical support at home. Families can find caregivers, request visits, manage schedules, and keep care information together.
Who is LoLo designed for?
LoLo is designed for older adults who want practical help at home, family members arranging care for someone they love, and caregivers looking for flexible local opportunities.
Does LoLo provide medical home care?
No. LoLo focuses on non-medical support such as companionship, errands, rides where appropriate, meal preparation, light household routines, reminders, and respite support.
Can I arrange care for my parent or another loved one?
Yes. You can create an account, request support for your loved one, invite other family members, and coordinate visits from wherever you are.
Topic 02
Care, visits, and schedules
What caregivers can help with and how flexible visits work.
What kinds of support can I request?
Common requests include companionship, errands, rides, meal preparation, light housekeeping, reminders, outings, and respite support. Available services depend on the caregiver and visit details.
Is there a minimum visit length?
Families can request flexible help starting with a one-hour visit, subject to caregiver availability and fit.
Can I request recurring visits?
Yes. You can request one-time or recurring support. Recurring availability depends on finding a caregiver whose schedule and service area match your needs.
Can a caregiver provide transportation?
Some caregivers may offer rides or help with errands. Review each caregiver’s profile and the visit details to confirm transportation is available and appropriate.
Topic 03
Finding the right caregiver
How profiles, availability, and family choice come together.
How do I find caregivers near me?
Start by entering where care is needed and the type of support you want. LoLo shows eligible caregivers based on service area, availability, and the details of your request.
Can I choose a specific caregiver?
Yes. You can review available profiles and choose the caregiver who feels right for your family rather than accepting an anonymous assignment.
What information appears on a caregiver profile?
Profiles can include experience, services, availability, hourly pricing, languages, training, verification status, reviews, and a personal introduction.
Can I request the same caregiver again?
Yes, when schedules and service areas align. A caregiver who already knows your family can be requested again for future visits, subject to availability.
Topic 04
Booking and changing visits
Requesting care, confirming details, and handling schedule changes.
How do I book a visit?
Choose the support, location, date, start time, and expected length. Review available caregivers and visit pricing, then follow the booking steps to confirm your request.
Can I request care for the same day?
You can submit a request for the timing you need. Same-day options depend on caregiver availability, location, and how quickly the visit details can be confirmed.
How do I change or cancel a visit?
Open the visit in your LoLo account to review the available change or cancellation options. If you need help, contact LoLo as early as possible so the caregiver can be informed.
What if no caregiver is available?
Try adjusting the date, start time, visit length, or requested support. Availability can change, and a slightly wider window may reveal more options.
Topic 05
Trust and safety
The information and safeguards that help families book with confidence.
How does caregiver verification work?
Caregiver onboarding can include profile review, identity verification, background screening, and checks of the information required for matching. Verification details are reflected in the caregiver experience where applicable.
Are caregivers background screened?
Background screening is part of the required onboarding process before a caregiver becomes eligible for matching. Families should also review each profile, visit fit, and available trust information.
How will I know when a caregiver arrives?
LoLo records visit activity so authorized family members can follow key updates, including arrival and completion information when available for the visit.
What should I do in an emergency?
LoLo is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger or needs urgent medical help, call 911 or the appropriate local emergency service first.
Topic 06
Pricing and payments
Clear visit pricing and secure payment through LoLo.
How much does care cost?
The caregiver’s hourly price and the expected visit total are shown before you book. Your total depends on the selected caregiver, visit length, and any clearly disclosed applicable charges.
How are payments handled?
Payments are processed securely through LoLo so families and caregivers do not need to exchange cash or payment details directly.
When will I see the payment amount?
You can review the hourly price and estimated visit total before confirming a booking. Payment status remains connected to the visit in your LoLo account.
Can I review receipts and payment history?
Yes. Completed visit and payment information is kept with your LoLo account so you can review the care record in one place.
Topic 07
Family coordination
Keeping siblings, parents, and other trusted family members aligned.
Can I invite other family members?
Yes. Invite trusted family members so care schedules, visit updates, messages, and history are easier to coordinate together.
What can invited family members see?
Access depends on the family role and account settings. Authorized members can stay connected to relevant schedules, visit activity, and care information.
Can I coordinate care while living far away?
Yes. LoLo is designed to help families arrange and follow non-medical support even when they do not live near the person receiving care.
Can family members communicate with caregivers?
LoLo keeps visit-related communication connected to the care experience so authorized participants can share important details without relying on scattered texts and calls.
Topic 08
During and after a visit
What LoLo records while care happens and once the visit is complete.
How is visit time recorded?
The caregiver starts the visit in LoLo after arriving and stops it when the agreed support is complete. This keeps the visit record connected to the actual care time.
Will my family receive visit updates?
Authorized family members can follow key visit activity in LoLo, reducing the need for repeated check-in calls and separate update messages.
What is included in a visit summary?
A visit summary can capture useful non-medical updates about the completed support, activities, and notes that help the family stay informed.
Can I leave feedback after a visit?
Yes. Family feedback and reviews help recognize strong caregivers and give future families more context when reviewing profiles.
Topic 09
For caregivers
Profiles, flexible shifts, visit tracking, and caregiver payouts.
How do I become a LoLo caregiver?
Create a caregiver profile, describe your experience and strengths, set your service area and availability, and complete the required identity, background, and onboarding review.
Can I choose which shifts I accept?
Yes. You review eligible shifts and decide which ones fit your schedule, location, skills, and comfort level. You are not required to accept every opportunity.
What can I see before claiming a shift?
LoLo shows the available visit details, including timing, location, requested tasks, expected length, notes, and estimated payout before you claim.
What do I do when the visit begins and ends?
After you arrive, tap Start in LoLo to begin recording the visit. Provide the agreed support, then tap Stop and confirm completion when the work is done.
When do caregivers get paid?
Payout is sent after the completed visit and typically arrives within a few days. Exact timing can vary based on payment processing and the caregiver’s banking institution.
Does creating a caregiver profile guarantee shifts?
No. Shift availability depends on family demand, location, timing, task fit, profile eligibility, and completion of required onboarding.
